Presenters, including campus activities boards, can:

Draw crossover audiences for this exciting, percussive style. Programs stress the universality of stepping, the role of this African American tradition in a long line of art forms, and its place in a world music continuum.

Choose from repertoire that includes South African contemporary and traditional dance styles and songs, including gumboot and Zulu, as well as tap. Slam poetry, and of course, fraternity and sorority styles of stepping.

Select from a range of engagements, from one-time performances to multi-day residencies. Book performances for an informal hall, school or major theater. The ensemble travels with modest equipment, resulting in easy load-in and minimal technical requirements. Contact our agents to discuss what will work best for your community.

Step Afrika seized the stage...[and] drove the crowd to whoops and hollers.—Lisa Traiger, The Washington Post

"I have planned and helped with tons of events but none that were as much fun or as entertaining as Step Afrika!!! Your group really made the history of stepping a fun experience to learn about."

-Staff Programmer, East Tennessee State University

"You grabbed the attention of the St. Louis 4th and 5th grade students a soon as you walked on the stage and managed to keep the students and their teachers riveted for the entire hour. A significant number of subscribers ranked Step Afrika! as the number one show we presented this year."

—Rebecca Carson, Director of Performing Arts, Center of Contemporary Arts,
University City, MO

I have heard nothing but rave reviews in the ensuing days. Even the tech crew was captivated! I am especially grateful for the time you made to meet with our students and staff following the show.”

—KP Perkins, Coordinator, Multi-Cultural Student Programs, Gallaudet University

“After the event was over, the excitement was still flowing through our campus and even continued into the days after…you are such professionals.”

—Fenrick James, Student, University of Indianapolis
