Drumfolk

They took the drums away, but they could not stop the beat. Inspired by the Stono Rebellion of 1739, Drumfolk explores this little-known event that would forever transform African American culture.

Performers

Step Afrika! employs 13 full-time dancers, many of who have attended Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and are members of Historically Black Greek Fraternities and Sororities.
