On Tuesday, June 6, the White House announced that the President and First Lady will host a Juneteenth Concert on Tuesday, June 13. This celebration of community, culture, and music will feature Step Afrika! alongside Jennifer Hudson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, and fourteen other artists on the estate’s South Lawn.

Following the two-year anniversary of President Biden establishing Juneteenth as the nation’s newest Federal holiday, this event honors the importance of learning from our nation’s history, celebrating our progress, and recognizing and engaging in the work that continues. Step Afrika! is privileged to be a part of this historic celebration, centered in our home here in the DMV.

This event is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Pernod Ricard USA, STARZ #TaketheLead Initiative, and The Recording Academy.
