Step Afrika! in South Africa

This September, Step Afrika! celebrates its 30th Anniversary and South Africa’s Independence with an amazing week in Johannesburg, South Africa, September 1 – 8, that re-engages the Company’s unique origin story. This journey includes artistic collaboration, cross-cultural workshops, and performances in Soweto, the legendary township where the Step Afrika! International Cultural Festival originated in December 1994.

Two feature-length performances at the Soweto Theatre and a Step Afrika! Family Reunion will anchor the Celebration Week!

  Note: A festive cocktail reception for VIP Ticket Holders will begin at 17h30 in the Soweto Theatre.
• Performance: Thursday, September 5 at 19h00
  Note: A festive cocktail reception for VIP Ticket Holders will start at 17h30 in the Soweto Theatre.
• Step Afrika! Family Reunion: Saturday, September 7 from 10h00 – 18h00
